Firefox and Chrome Pull Invasive Browser Extension
– a press release
“Mozilla and Google have both dismissed Stylish from their online markets and are encouraging users to delete the extension if already in use.”
For Immediate Release – July 05, 2018
Muncie, Ind. – Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have both pulled the popular browser extension, Stylish, from their online stores after reports of snooping and anti-privacy. Stylish allows users to customize the appearance of visited sites, but is under fire for reportedly sharing users browsing history and web logs with its corporate parent.
Mozilla and Google have both dismissed Stylish from their online markets and are encouraging users to delete the extension if already in use. In fact, Mozilla has published a bug report with details of the incident.
