DELTEC Information Solutions was founded in January 1990 as Computer Stockroom by Scott Jordan.  Computer Stockroom was originally intended as a side-business but soon became a full-time venture.  From the beginning, Computer Stockroom specialized in business computer service and specialized solutions.  Computer Stockroom offered custom Delta Micro Systems computers, system design, and a complete service department.  Early clients such as Pathologists Associated and Ball Memorial Hospital took advantage of services for maintenance and support of their computer systems.  These early service offerings became the prototype of some of the SysCare® solutions of today.  Through the mid-1990’s, the retail market and sale of computer hardware and software became less and less profitable, with pressure from large retailers and on-line sellers.  The computer had become a commodity.  In addition, the consumer-side of the business for computer services and custom solutions had become devalued.  However, small business was undergoing a painful transition as it tried to leverage the new found power of the personal computer and learn how to manage and maintain their investments. This presented a unique challenge and was recognized as a great opportunity. 

For almost a year, Mr. Jordan engaged several business leaders and gathered information on the market trends while continuing to operate the existing business.  Through that process, he recognized that most small businesses were facing similar challenges of ineffective support, poor planning, obsolescence, and very little consideration for the maintenance or management of their technology investments.  This research and planning led to the first iteration of the new SysCare® program to offer small business technology support based on best practices.  In 1996, the business was renamed to DELTEC Information Solutions, and the first SysCare® program was launched.  This began a process of shifting the focus of the company away from the traditional sell and service model to one of professional services. 

Today, led by President & CEO Don Engel, and Founder & CTO Scott Jordan, DELTEC is a premier provider of strategic management services for businesses throughout the Midwest.  DELTEC delivers the network management, support, consulting, compliance, security, and disaster recovery products and services they need to succeed in today’s business environment.  Our staff has been recognized with certificates from Cisco, Citrix, CompTIA, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft, SonicWall, and many other industry leaders.  DELTEC has earned status as an IBM Business Partner as well as a Microsoft Gold Partner, placing us in a small group of elite providers.  DELTEC encourages our staff to increase their skills, but also believes that each member of the team should be focused on their faith, family, and community, and to keep these priorities in the right order.
