Microsoft Edge now available for Android and iOS

– a press release

“Microsoft Edge, the default web browser for Windows 10 devices, is now available for Android and iOS.”

For Immediate Release – December 05, 2017

Muncie, Ind. – Microsoft Edge, the default web browser for Windows 10 devices, is now available for Android and iOS.

Edge is the web browser that Microsoft developed to replace Internet Explorer over two years ago. And now, the popular web browser is finally available through the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store for your favorite mobile devices.

Like many of its competitors, the new app syncs personalized content, such as your saved favorites, reading lists, and bookmarks. Microsoft has also added its “continue to PC” functionality which allows you to broadcast a webpage from your mobile device to a Windows desktop while on the same network. While this sounds like a neat addition, this feature substitutes automatically-synced tabs, which is a core feature of both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox applications.
