SonicWall Mitigates Bad Rabbit Ransomware
– a press release
“In the wake of this attack, SonicWall Capture Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) has reported full mitigation.”
For Immediate Release – October 31, 2017
Muncie, Ind. – A new strain of ransomware, dubbed Bad Rabbit, was first spotted this past Tuesday in Russia and Ukraine. The ransomware is the third major spread of malware this year, following the wider-reaching WannaCry and NotPetya strains of malicious code.
In the wake of this attack, SonicWall Capture Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) has reported full mitigation. This product surpasses traditional firewall technologies by providing real-time protection against new malware even before signatures become available. As zero-day attacks and exploits become more frequent, the importance of truly preventative technologies and malware defense cannot be overstated.
Deltec Solutions is certified with SonicWall and has witnessed these technologies, including next-generation firewalls and award-winning network security solutions, in action. For more information on SonicWall Capture ATP and updates of recent malware, we encourage you to check out the SonicWall blog.
