Windows 10 April Update Arrives Last Minute
– a press release
“Yesterday, as we quickly approached the end of April, Microsoft finally made available the highly anticipated Windows 10 update.“
For Immediate Release – May 01, 2018
Muncie, Ind. – As we reported earlier last month, Windows 10’s most recent update was delayed due to a last-minute bug that caused machines to experience Microsoft’s infamous blue screen of death (BSOD). Yesterday, as we quickly approached the end of April, Microsoft finally made available the highly anticipated Windows 10 update.
With this release, Microsoft has decided to drop the previous seasonal naming convention (Fall Creators Update, Spring Creators Update, etc.) and is instead using release months and version numbers to simplify matters. Microsoft’s latest update to Windows 10 is now officially known as the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version number 1803.
Like previous Windows 10 updates, the Windows 10 April 2018 Update will not be presented to users immediately. Microsoft will instead be issuing a phased roll-out plan, ensuring device compatibility before making the auto-update available for all. Distribution for select Windows users will begin as early as this upcoming Patch Tuesday, May 8th.
